Financial Controller

1-800 Radiator is a rapidly growing organization backed by a leading private equity fund. Our company is pursuing an ambitious growth and acquisition strategy aimed at strengthening its position as a leader in its industry.

As part of this growth, we are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and results-driven financial controller to contribute to the company's development and ensure excellence within the finance function.

Position Summary

Reporting to the President or Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial activities of the company. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, enhancing internal controls, cash management, and supporting strategic initiatives and growth projects.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting and Accounting

· Oversee the full accounting cycle and ensure the integrity of financial records.

· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

· Produce financial analyses and management reports for senior leadership and shareholders.

· Coordinate annual audits and manage relationships with external auditors.

· Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Financial and Operational Management

· Oversee cash management and cash flow forecasting.

· Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.

· Analyze budget variances and recommend corrective actions.

· Establish and maintain robust internal controls.

· Optimize financial and operational processes to improve organizational efficiency.

Strategic Support

· Collaborate with the management team in analyzing financial and operational performance.

· Participate in acquisition, integration, and growth initiatives.

· Prepare financial information required by lenders and investors.

· Assist in the preparation of presentations for the Board of Directors.

Team Leadership

· Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team.

· Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

· CPA designation is considered an asset.

· Minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.

· Fully bilingual in French and English

· Experience in distribution.

· Strong understanding of internal controls and financial best practices.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with QuickBooks.

· Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

· Experience within a private equity-backed company is considered a significant asset.
