Original job description
Lead the operations that keep our promise: the right part, in stock, delivered fast.
1-800-Radiator & A/C has been a trusted U.S. brand since 1982. In Canada, we are a specialist distributor of heating, cooling, A/C, emissions and electrical parts for repair shops, body shops, dealerships and fleets. Customers keep coming back because we have the hard-to-find part in stock and get it to them same-day or next-day, while competitors often take weeks.
In 2026, the Canadian business was acquired by Alfar Capital, with the founders remaining as partners. With new capital and a clear national expansion plan, we have created this role to take over the day-to-day operational leadership previously handled by one of the founders, running our 7 Ontario warehouses and our customer service team.
Regional Operations Manager – Eastern Region
What you'll do
• Lead a multi-site team. Direct, coach and evaluate 12 direct reports: 7 Warehouse Managers and a 5-person customer service team, through regular 1-on-1s and performance reviews.
• Own operational performance. Track KPIs across every branch (order-to-delivery time, inventory turnover, dock-to-stock, shrinkage, labour utilization and overtime) and lead the monthly operations review against targets.
• Standardize to scale. Build and roll out SOPs across all locations to support rapid growth and integrate newly acquired branches.
• Deliver for customers. Make sure phone and digital orders, key accounts and B2B inquiries are handled at an elite level, and connect warehouse and customer service to resolve escalations fast.
• Hire and develop. Own recruiting for Warehouse Managers and CSRs, and build onboarding and ongoing training on inventory systems and customer retention.
• Be in the field. Visit all 7 Ontario warehouses, scheduled and unannounced, to audit inventory, inspect safety and facilities, and build rapport with frontline staff.
• Work with leadership. Partner with executive leadership, accounting and sales on supply chain optimization, fleet management and vendor logistics.
What you bring
- 5–7+ years of progressive operations leadership in multi-site distribution, logistics or automotive parts warehousing
- A track record of directly managing and scaling teams of 10+ across multiple locations
- Experience in B2B customer service management and inventory control
- Strong command of WMS, ERP and inventory forecasting tools
- Financial acumen: you can read a P&L, manage an operating budget and analyze logistics metrics
- A leader who drives accountability through clear communication and collaboration
- Willingness to travel regularly across Ontario: mostly day trips, with 1–2 overnight stays per month
- A degree in supply chain, business administration or operations, or equivalent executive experience
Why join us
• A role with real weight. You step into executive operations responsibilities previously held by one of the founders.
• Private equity backing with a national plan. Your results will be visible, and the room to grow with the company is real.
• Standards you set. The network is growing, and the SOPs you build are the ones new locations will run on.
• Autonomy. We focus on results, not micromanagement.
• Pay that rewards performance. Competitive base salary plus variable incentive, performance bonuses and a full benefits program.
