Original job description

The role

Toronto (Financial District) · In person · Full-time

The Account Director owns revenue growth on two fronts, split about evenly. Half the role is account growth: you expand what our existing clients buy from us. The other half is new logos: you open accounts we do not have yet.

You sell work that our experts and AI agents deliver. That means you can often walk into a first meeting with real analysis on the prospect.

About 15Rock

15Rock pairs top experts with custom AI agents and workflows to deliver institutional-grade research and analysis.

Our clients include large asset owners and some of the largest advisory firms in North America. We also work with fast-growing, complex companies on value creation, corporate strategy and M&A, and we help clients expand into new markets and industries.

Our products include TrendCap, our research and analysis platform, and Novilo, our platform for the full bid lifecycle.

Our work in numbers

Our agents and experts have analyzed about 3,000 companies and institutions across 23 industries.

US$650B in combined annual revenue across our deep-dive companies
US$20B in enterprise value identified in our value creation plans
US$5.6B in new revenue opportunities sized
US$4B+ in cash tied up in working capital, found in accounting footnotes
US$3.2B in annual EBITDA improvement sized across 46 operating companies
1,000+ Canadian firms mapped to 170+ defence supply chains

Who you will sell to

Asset owners: pension funds and other institutional investors, from portfolio and risk teams to the CIO's office
Advisory firms: partners and directors in deals, value creation, strategy and transformation practices
Corporates: CFOs and heads of strategy and corporate development at fast-growing, complex companies
Bid teams: companies that respond to large RFPs and want to win more of them

What you will do

Grow existing accounts

Know each account's teams, priorities and pursuits, and where our work fits them.
Meet new partners, practice leaders and teams inside each account, and widen where our work is used.
Turn one-off projects into subscriptions and longer agreements.

Win new logos

Build a target list across asset owners, advisory firms and corporates, and work it.
Open each account with a focused first project, then grow from there.
Run the full sale: first meeting, scoping, proposal, pricing and close.

Across both

Scope work our delivery team can meet, and keep the pipeline in our CRM current and honest.
Bring back what buyers ask for and what they will pay for, so it shapes what we build.

What we are looking for

You have carried a quota and closed complex deals with senior buyers such as partners, CIOs, CFOs or heads of strategy.
You have done both jobs: grown existing accounts and opened new ones. You can show the numbers for each.
You understand how companies create value: margins, working capital, growth and M&A. You can hold that conversation with a CFO or a deal partner.
You can sell work that mixes expert services and software, and scope it so delivery can meet it.
You use AI tools in your own selling: research, account plans and outreach.
You write clearly, follow up quickly and forecast honestly.

Useful, not required

A background in consulting, investment banking, private equity or institutional investing
Relationships with asset owners, advisory firms or corporate development teams
Experience selling research, data or AI products
Experience selling through procurement processes and RFPs

Two things to know before you apply

This is an in-person role in Toronto. You will work from our office and at client sites, not from home.

You will need to know our work in depth. Your buyers are partners, CIOs and CFOs, and they test every claim. Our experts will back you, but you lead the conversation.

Compensation and benefits

Base salary plus commission on new-logo and expansion revenue
Equity under the company's equity incentive plan
Health and dental coverage
RRSP matching
Research support on every pursuit: our experts and agents can build analysis on a prospect before your first meeting
AI tools without limits for research, account planning and outreach

Applying

Apply through LinkedIn with your resume. Then answer two questions in a few sentences each:

Tell us about an account you grew. Where did it start, where did you take it, and what did you do?
Tell us about a new logo you opened from a cold start. Who was the buyer, and what got the first deal signed?

Include your quota and attainment for each of the last two years. No cover letter. You must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

15Rock uses AI-assisted tools to help organize, screen, and assess applications. People review the evidence and make all interview and hiring decisions.

15Rock welcomes applicants from different backgrounds and learning paths. If you need an accommodation during the hiring process, please tell us what would help.
