Original job description

1Click Energy Solutions Inc. | Toronto, Ontario | Full-Time

Work arrangement

This is a full-time, in-person position at our downtown Toronto office. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available for this role.

About 1Click Energy Solutions

1Click Energy Solutions is a Canadian energy solutions company helping homeowners transition to modern, energy-efficient home comfort systems. Our work includes heat pumps, energy-efficiency upgrades, and related home electrification solutions.

Using a unique digital-first approach, we make it easy for Canadians to upgrade their home comfort systems with transparent pricing, helpful information, and access to available rebates, grants, and financing.

Why Join 1Click Energy Solutions?

Join a collaborative, high-performing team where your ideas and leadership can make a measurable impact. If you’re a strategic marketer who enjoys solving problems, leading initiatives, and driving business growth, we’d love to hear from you.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, the Marketing Manager is a hands-on, revenue-focused leader responsible for the day-to-day operations of the marketing team and the performance of our digital marketing programs.

You’ll take ownership of campaign strategy, execution, and optimization across paid search, organic/SEO, and social media, using performance data to improve lead generation, conversion, and ROI.

You’ll also serve as an operational leader for the marketing team - setting priorities, improving processes, removing roadblocks, and helping to develop team members while ensuring initiatives are executed at a high level.

This is an opportunity to shape how 1Click generates revenue through marketing and make a direct, measurable impact on the company’s growth.

Responsibilities

Marketing Operations

Own the day-to-day management and operations of the marketing department, including team priorities, project delivery, and campaign execution.
Develop and improve marketing processes, workflows, and documentation.
Manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and vendors.
Support annual planning, quarterly objectives, and departmental budgeting.

Campaign Strategy & Management

Develop integrated marketing campaigns across paid search, organic search, and social media, aligned with revenue targets and business priorities.
Coordinate campaign delivery from planning and creative briefing through launch, ensuring messaging, timing, and execution are consistent across channels.
Partner with sales to improve lead quality, lead follow-up, and conversion from inquiry to booked installation.

Paid Media & Performance Marketing

Lead Google Ads and Meta advertising strategy and performance, with the ability to independently build, manage, and optimize campaigns. Delegate execution to team members or external partners where appropriate while remaining accountable for lead quality, conversion rates, and return on ad spend.
Manage budgets and bidding strategies, monitor performance, and reallocate spend to maximize return on ad spend (ROAS).
Stay current on platform updates and best practices to keep campaigns competitive.

Organic & Social Media

Help direct organic growth strategy, including SEO and content initiatives that build sustainable, low-cost-per-lead traffic.
Help direct social media strategy across organic and paid social, ensuring brand consistency and audience growth.
Guide content planning and creative direction to support both organic reach and paid amplification.

Leadership & Team Development

Help build a collaborative, high-performing team culture that mirrors 1Click's broader performance-driven culture.
Delegate campaign execution effectively while maintaining oversight of quality and performance.
Identify growth opportunities for team members and support their professional development.

Reporting & Revenue Growth

Track and report on campaign performance, revenue attribution, and ROI across all channels.
Translate marketing data into actionable insights for leadership, tying marketing activity directly to revenue outcomes.
Continuously test, iterate, and optimize campaigns to improve lead quality, conversion rates, and cost efficiency.

Skills And Qualifications

6+ years of progressive digital marketing experience, with demonstrated success developing and optimizing paid and organic marketing campaigns.
Demonstrated success managing revenue-generating marketing programs, with a track record of hitting or exceeding targets.
Advanced knowledge of Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager, including campaign creation, optimization, audience strategy, bidding strategies, conversion tracking, and performance analysis.
Experience managing or directly supervising marketing team members, including setting priorities, reviewing work, coaching, and holding people accountable for results.
Strong proficiency with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, reporting tools, and major paid and organic social media platforms.
Experience managing marketing budgets and being accountable for ROI/ROAS.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate performance data into strategy and business impact.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Experience managing agencies, freelancers, or external marketing partners.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
Experience in home services, energy, or a similarly consultative sales environment.

Competencies

Strategic thinker who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to execute.
Revenue-focused and metrics-driven.
Comfortable managing multiple campaigns and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative, with the ability to work cross-functionally with sales and leadership.
Adaptable and resourceful in a growing, evolving organization.

Expected base salary: $85,000 CAD annually

Final compensation will reflect the successful candidate's experience, qualifications, and demonstrated capability.

How To Apply

If you bring strong hands-on digital marketing experience, demonstrated results, and the ability to lead a team, we encourage you to apply - even if you don't meet every preferred qualification.

Please apply through this posting or visit our careers page.
