As an Account Specialist, Growth, you’ll help very small business (VSB) customers and inbound prospects understand how 1Password can support their security and productivity needs. You’ll manage a high-volume book of business, guide customers through the sales process, and identify opportunities to expand their use of the 1Password platform. Reporting to the Manager of VSB Growth, this hybrid role is based in Toronto, Canada.

Expectations of this role
This is a hybrid role. You will be expected to work from 1Password's Toronto office 3 days per week, with the flexibility to work from the office up to 5 days based on business needs.
Note: All go-to market roles will have an in-person onboarding in Toronto.
What we're looking for:
- Experience in sales, account management, customer success, or a related role, preferably in a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume pipeline and consistently meet or exceed sales and activity targets
- Experience managing the full sales cycle, including discovery, product demonstrations, proposals, negotiations, and closing
- Strong customer discovery, objection-handling, deal-management, and value-based selling skills
- Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers
- Ability to prioritize effectively across inbound leads and existing accounts while building trust with a wide range of stakeholders
- Experience handling customer inquiries through channels such as email, phone, and chat; familiarity with 1Password, security tools, Salesforce, Gong, Outreach, or similar platforms is an asset
What you can expect:
- Manage a high-volume portfolio of VSB customers and inbound prospects, developing a clear understanding of their goals, product usage, and growth opportunities
- Maintain a healthy pipeline in Salesforce, progressing opportunities from discovery through close and keeping forecasts accurate
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets by closing new business and expansion opportunities, including seat growth, add-ons, and tier upgrades
- Lead discovery conversations, product demonstrations, commercial discussions, proposals, and pricing conversations
- Help customers understand and adopt 1Password by connecting their needs to relevant solutions and providing guidance throughout the buying process
- Partner with Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Onboarding, Legal, and other teams to remove blockers and support smooth deal progression
- Share customer feedback, objections, and common needs with Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to improve the customer experience
Canada-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $55,000 CAD and $77,000 CAD and is commission-eligible. This role is also eligible for immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Our approach to work
We recognize the power of both in person collaboration and remote work. Some roles are designated as remote-first, with an expectation that individuals work from their homes majority of the time, while others are designated as in-office roles, with an expectation of being on-site on a regular basis. We recognize that certain roles benefit from regular, in-person connection to support collaboration, team cohesion, and customer engagement.
For all roles, occasional travel may be required. This includes things like: department-wide offsites, quarterly department meetings and periodic customer events. These events are typically held in varying locations across Canada, USA and/or EMEA. In leadership roles, you can expect to travel once per month on average.
