21 TSI is rewriting the rules and shaping the future of the sports industry. 🏅

In just six years, we've launched Maddle, Montreal Weights, Ascend, and Nordik Recovery, and fulfilled over 150,000 orders across Canada. Today, our growth is accelerating, and we are preparing to expand across North America and beyond. 🚀

To support our continued growth, we are looking for a hands-on, analytical, and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Technician who can take ownership of day-to-day accounting operations and help maintain accurate, reliable financial information.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will support daily accounting operations, month-end closing, reconciliations, and the continuous improvement of financial processes. You should be comfortable working independently, investigating discrepancies, and following issues through to resolution.

Key Responsibilities 🫡

Day-to-Day Accounting

Ensure the accurate, complete, and proper recording and classification of financial and accounting transactions across all company entities
Follow up on and validate accounting transactions in collaboration with the Accounts Payable Technician and various departments
Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations and investigate variances
Prepare and manage quotes, invoicing, and collections for B2B sales in collaboration with the Customer Service team
Review inventory transactions, validate SKU costs, and assist with inventory reconciliations
Reconcile general ledger accounts, maintain supporting schedules, and resolve discrepancies ahead of month-end close

Financial Reporting & Compliance

Reconcile intercompany balances and transactions between the company’s various entities
Actively participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes

Budgeting & Audit

Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Support the Director of Finance with year-end audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.

Cross-Department Collaboration and General Support

Collaborate with Operations, Customer Service, and other departments to resolve accounting issues and improve data accuracy.
Identify opportunities to streamline recurring accounting tasks and improve financial processes and systems.

What we’re looking for 🔎

3–5 years of relevant hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a product-based, distribution, retail, or e-commerce environment.
A college diploma (DEC), bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent relevant experience. Practical accounting ability and autonomy matter more than a specific designation.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel & Google Sheets.
Experience with an ERP system and strong technological aptitude; NetSuite experience is an asset.
Familiarity with QuickBooks Online, Dext, and other cloud-based accounting applications is an asset.
Ability to handle high transaction volumes, investigate issues independently, and follow them through to resolution.
Strong analytical and reconciliation skills, with a structured, methodical, and detail-oriented approach.
Excellent communication and priority management skills.
Understanding and ease with technological tools.
Good organization and ability to effectively manage recurring tasks.
Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable navigating changing processes and priorities in a fast-growing environment.
Bilingualism (English and French) is required to communicate effectively with our internal and external partners.

What we offer 💰

Salary offer: Competitive and market-based compensation reflective of your skills and experience.
Hours: 40 hours per week, including lunch time.
Health and Dental Insurance + AssistNow program: offered after three months of employment for full-time employees.
Paid sick days.
Massage at the office every two weeks.
Flexible schedule, hybrid position (3 days at the office).
Product discounts: Access to company products at reduced prices for personal use or to share with friends and family.

Ready to join?

If you want every day to count, if you want your ideas to turn into real actions, and if you’re ready to make a meaningful impact in a fast-growing company, we want to meet you.

Send us your application and come write the next chapter of 21 TSI with us. ✍️
