Job Title: HTML Developer (Email / Digital Messaging)
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 days onsite)
Employment Type: Contract
Pay Rate: $40–$60/hour
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HTML Developer to support digital messaging and email communications for a leading banking client. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and FreeMarker, with experience developing responsive, dynamic email templates across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain HTML email templates and digital messaging communications.
- Build responsive email layouts using HTML, CSS, and FreeMarker.
- Implement dynamic content and personalization using FreeMarker templates.
- Ensure email compatibility across various devices, browsers, and email clients.
- Troubleshoot rendering issues and optimize email performance.
- Collaborate with marketing, design, and technical teams to deliver digital campaigns.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and FreeMarker (all three mandatory).
- Experience developing responsive HTML emails and digital messaging templates.
- Understanding of email rendering limitations and cross-platform compatibility.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in banking or financial services.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms and campaign management tools.
- Experience with dynamic content, personalization, and email automation.
