Our client is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Material Handler to join its warehouse operations team in Nanaimo, BC.
The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing and shipping materials while maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the safe movement of products throughout the warehouse and yard.

Key Responsibilities
- Pick, prepare, label and package customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Receive incoming shipments, unload trucks and verify materials against shipping documents.
- Load outgoing deliveries safely and according to established delivery schedules.
- Restock inventory and ensure products are stored in their designated locations.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse material-handling equipment safely.
- Operate overhead cranes where available and appropriately trained.
- Complete shipping, receiving and inventory documentation using computerized systems.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse and outdoor storage yard.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and stock verification.
- Coordinate with warehouse colleagues and sales personnel to resolve order discrepancies.
- Provide assistance to customers at the warehouse counter when required.
- Follow established workplace health and safety procedures.
- Minimum one year of warehouse, shipping/receiving or material-handling experience preferred.
- Forklift certification.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment and handling industrial materials.
- Familiarity with industrial pipes, valves, fittings or related products is an asset.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and inventory-related applications.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and time management.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, walking, climbing and moving materials.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities.
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Reliable transportation to the workplace.
- Starting wage of $24.76 per hour.

Responsibilities
Pick, pack, receive, store, and ship materials while maintaining accurate inventory records and safely operating warehouse equipment. Keep the warehouse and yard organized, complete inspections and documentation, assist with inventory counts, and coordinate with colleagues and customers to resolve order issues.
Requirements
At least one year of warehouse, shipping and receiving, or material-handling experience is preferred, along with forklift certification and familiarity with warehouse equipment. Candidates should have basic computer skills, strong organization and communication, the ability to perform physically demanding work, reliable transportation, and preferably a high school diploma or equivalent experience.
