About The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated, results-driven Technical Outside Sales Representative to grow business and strengthen customer relationships throughout Eastern Ontario.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing existing accounts, and promoting technical machinery and equipment solutions to customers in the metalworking industry. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and deliver exceptional service while achieving sales targets.

Previous experience in technical sales, ideally in an outside B2B sales environment, is an asset but not required. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated professional who enjoys building relationships, developing new business, and working with technical products.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute sales strategies to attract new customers, expand existing accounts, and increase market share throughout the assigned territory.
Research the market to identify prospective customers, industry trends, and new business opportunities.
Manage leads, customer accounts, sales activities, and performance metrics using a CRM system.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication, account management, and follow-up.
Deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout the entire sales process.
Work collaboratively with internal sales support and other departments to ensure the timely and effective delivery of products and services.
Develop a strong understanding of technical products, their features, and their benefits to recommend appropriate solutions to customers.
Respond to customer inquiries and coordinate with internal teams to provide technical information and customized solutions.
Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote products and develop new business relationships.
Negotiate pricing and sales terms to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for both customers and the organization.

Qualifications And Requirements

Experience selling metalworking machinery, industrial equipment, or related technical products is preferred.
Understanding of the B2B sales process, including prospecting, account management, negotiations, and closing sales.
Experience using CRM software to manage customer relationships and track sales activities.
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish trust and credibility.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
Ability to analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory to meet with customers and develop business opportunities.

Disclosure:

This posting represents an active and genuine vacancy with one of 3 Step Recruitment’s clients and is not for speculative or pipeline recruitment.

3 Step Recruitment and/or our Clients may use, from time to time, AI-assisted tools to support the screening and evaluation of applications; however, these tools are not intended to replace human judgement or decision-making in the hiring process.
