Position: Sr. Developer

Work Model: Hybrid – 2 Days On-Site

Location: Montreal, Quebec - Canada

Primary Skill: Apigee Gateway

Responsibilities

  • Develop reusable Apigee custom policies using JavaScript, Python, and Java callouts for authentication, authorization, payload transformation, input validation, and error handling.
  • Design and implement shared flows to standardize security, logging, rate limiting, CORS, and fault handling across API proxies.
  • Design and deploy API proxies with proper policy attachments, conditional flows, route rules, and target endpoint configurations.
  • Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, API keys, JWT validation, HMAC, JSON/XML threat protection, and IP whitelisting.
  • Collaborate with development and architecture teams to design scalable and secure API solutions.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience with Apigee Edge or Apigee X/Hybrid.
  • Strong knowledge of REST API design, HTTP methods, status codes, headers, and JSON/XML payload formats.
  • Experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT, and API key-based authentication.
  • Strong understanding of API security, gateway policies, and API proxy development.
