3DentAI is a Vancouver-based AI startup focused on dental technology.

Over the past two years, our team of seven specialists has developed a fully functional prototype and a proprietary AI model for the early detection of oral diseases at home using an intraoral camera, achieving over 85% accuracy.

We have also built our own model training tools and a complete web platform. These achievements have led to our collaboration with AWS and participation in a partner program focused on developing AI agents for dental clinics.

Why We’re Looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer

3DentAI is entering a new stage of growth, developing AI agents for dental clinics in collaboration with AWS.

We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of our existing AWS infrastructure, including maintaining our AI model deployed on Amazon SageMaker, and to build and scale the infrastructure for new AI agents powered by Amazon Bedrock.

For the right candidate, this role offers a potential path to becoming 3DentAI’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Key Responsibilities

1. Take ownership of our existing AWS infrastructure.

Understand the current architecture, assume responsibility for its operation, ensure reliability, and evolve the infrastructure as needed.

2. Maintain our existing AI model on Amazon SageMaker.

Manage deployment, updates, monitoring, and reliable operation of the model in production.

3. Develop infrastructure for AI agents powered by Amazon Bedrock.

Implement external API integrations, configure access controls, security, and monitoring.

4. Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines.

Support and enhance automated build, testing, and deployment processes using Jenkins, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

5. Ensure infrastructure reliability, security, and observability.

Manage logs, metrics, alerts, access controls, and AWS infrastructure security. Diagnose and resolve production incidents.

6. Contribute to 3DentAI’s technical architecture.

Participate in architectural decisions, technology selection, and planning for infrastructure and product scalability.

Candidate Requirements

Required

• Strong DevOps background with hands-on AWS experience, including CI/CD, Docker, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), networking, security, and Jenkins.

• Experience with infrastructure monitoring and reliability, including logging, metrics, alerting, production troubleshooting, and incident resolution.

Strong Advantages

• Production experience with Amazon SageMaker, including maintaining, updating, deploying, and monitoring existing AI models.

• Experience with Amazon Bedrock and AI agents, including agent development and deployment, API integrations, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Guardrails, and agent behavior monitoring.

• Technical leadership or engineering team management experience, with the potential to grow into a CTO role.

Preferred

• Experience working in startups.

• Experience working with healthcare data.

• Languages: English, Ukrainian (Russian).

Engagement Terms

• Time commitment: Approximately 3–10 hours per week, part-time.

• Compensation: This is currently an unpaid opportunity, with no cash compensation at this stage.

• Equity: Equity participation in the startup is intended for the right candidate. Specific terms will be discussed individually.
