The Opportunity
Join 4AG Robotics for your next co-op or internship term and help shape the future of agricultural automation. As part of our Supply Chain team, you’ll help make sure the right parts and materials are available at the right time to keep our robots moving from design to production and into the field.
This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in supply chain, procurement, inventory, and manufacturing operations. You’ll work closely with engineering, production, purchasing, and suppliers in a fast-paced environment where your work has a direct impact on how efficiently we build and deliver our robots.
What You’ll Do
- Support purchasing and procurement activities, including requesting quotes, placing purchase orders, and following up with suppliers.
- Help maintain accurate inventory levels and identify potential shortages or excess inventory.
- Work with suppliers to track orders, lead times, delivery dates, and quality issues.
- Support material planning and ensure parts are available when needed for production and assembly.
- Help improve supply chain processes, systems, and documentation.
- Analyze purchasing, inventory, and supplier data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to understand material requirements and resolve supply issues.
- Assist with inventory counts, organization, and accuracy across the warehouse and production areas.
- Support supplier research and help identify new sourcing opportunities.
- Assist with projects focused on reducing costs, improving lead times, and increasing supply chain efficiency.
What Success Looks Like
- You take ownership of your work and follow things through from start to finish.
- You help keep materials moving and identify potential supply issues before they become production problems.
- You use data to make informed decisions and find ways to improve how we work.
- You communicate clearly with suppliers and internal teams.
- You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
- You look for ways to make processes simpler, more organized, and more efficient.
- You contribute to building a supply chain that can support 4AG as we scale.
What You Bring
- Currently studying or have experience in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with numbers, data, and spreadsheets.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both internal teams and external suppliers.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to solving problems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn how products move from design through manufacturing and into the field.
- Experience with ERP, purchasing, inventory, or supply chain systems is an asset, but not required.
- Forklift experience is an asset.
- Comfortable with the physical aspect of the role, including lifting and moving materials as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg) as required.
- Willingness to work hands-on in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
Technical Skills You’ll Use and Grow:
- Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365
- ERP and purchasing systems
- Inventory management and material planning
- Purchase orders and supplier management
- Data analysis and reporting
- Demand and supply planning
- Cost analysis and cost tracking
- Manufacturing and production processes
- Supply chain and procurement processes
- Using AI tools to support automation, data analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
Why This Role Matters
At 4AG Robotics, we’re redefining what’s possible in agriculture through robotics, computer vision, and AI. Behind every robot we build is a supply chain that needs to keep up with our innovation.
The work you do will directly contribute to making sure our teams have the parts, materials, and information they need to build reliable robots and get them into the hands of our customers.
We value our people and the innovation they bring.
- Competitive pay: We offer competitive compensation, and depending on your experience, this position has a monthly salary range of $4,160 to $5,000 per month.
- Work-life balance: Flexible environment focused on results, not timesheets.
- Time to recharge: Paid vacation and statutory holidays.
- Growth mindset: Ongoing learning and development encouraged year-round.
- An on-site gym at HQ.
- Lunch provided three times a week at HQ, with snacks and drinks always available.
- Employee perks and discounts with local businesses throughout the Shuswap.
What We Believe
If you’re the type who likes to take chances, move at speed, and see your ideas come to life, you’ll feel right at home here. At 4AG, we’re not big on rules for the sake of rules - we’d rather trust you to make bold calls, keep it real with your team, and turn imagination into something game-changing.
This isn’t a place to play it safe; it’s a place to build, break, fix, and build again - while having a great time doing it.
