Field Service Technician – General Equipment

Edmundston Branch | Full-Time

Every Day Brings a New Challenge.

If you're the kind of technician who enjoys solving problems, working on a variety of equipment, and seeing the results of your work every day, you'll feel right at home at ALPA Equipment.

As a Field Service Technician, you'll work on some of the industry's most respected forestry and construction equipment while supporting customers who depend on you to keep their operations running. From advanced diagnostics and major repairs to preventative maintenance and troubleshooting in the field, every day offers something different.

Unlike many dealerships that focus on a single manufacturer, ALPA Equipment gives you the opportunity to broaden your expertise by working on premium brands such as Ponsse, Rotobec, Landrich, Terex Fuchs, JCB, and Hyundai, as well as a variety of other makes and models our customers rely on.

Whether you're an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician looking for your next challenge or a skilled tradesperson ready to apply your expertise to heavy equipment, ALPA Equipment offers the opportunity to build a rewarding career with a company that values quality, teamwork, and continuous learning.

If you're looking for more than just your next job - and you're ready to build a long-term career with a company that values your experience, supports your development, and recognizes your contributions - we'd like to meet you.

Why ALPA Equipment?

ALPA Equipment is a proudly family-owned company serving customers across Atlantic Canada and Eastern Quebec. We've earned our reputation by delivering quality equipment, dependable service, and building lasting relationships with our customers.

Our customers count on their equipment every day. They also count on the people who keep it running. That's why we believe great technicians need the training, technology, and support to do their best work.

We invest in ongoing manufacturer training, modern diagnostic technology, and opportunities for career growth. We believe great technicians never stop learning, and we're committed to creating an environment where skilled tradespeople can continue developing their skills while building rewarding careers.

No two days are the same.

Depending on customer needs, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of forestry and construction equipment, including:

Ponsse forestry equipment
Rotobec material handlers and attachments
Landrich forestry equipment
Terex Fuchs material handlers
JCB construction equipment
Hyundai construction equipment
A variety of other makes and models serviced for our customers

The variety of equipment means you'll continue developing your skills while gaining experience across multiple product lines, manufacturers, and technologies.

Your Opportunity

Reporting to the Service Manager, you'll travel throughout the territory providing professional service and technical expertise to our customers.

Whether you're diagnosing an issue in the field, performing preventative maintenance, or completing a major repair, your work helps keep our customers productive and their equipment operating at their best.

The ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
A commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Flexibility to work overtime when required to support our customers.
A valid driver's licence.

Don't Meet Every Qualification?

If you have strong mechanical aptitude, relevant trade experience, and a willingness to learn, we encourage you to apply. We recognize that great technicians come from a variety of backgrounds and would welcome the opportunity to learn more about what you can bring to our team.

Your Next Career Starts Here.

At ALPA Equipment, we're not just looking for someone to fill a position - we're looking for someone who wants to build a career.
