The role
We’re hiring an early-career GIS Analyst to help build and maintain the data behind our platform. You’ll work with a GIS team on real client projects from your first month and learn how geospatial data powers decisions in the energy industry. If you have 0–3 years of experience and want to grow fast in with scaling energy tech company, this is for you.

Location
This is an on-site role based in NW Calgary.
What You’ll Do
- Source and bring in data from open and subscription providers (such as AltaLIS)
- Convert, clean and standardize datasets across formats (shapefiles, CSVs, geodatabases)
- Maintain and update the mapping layers our software relies on
- Prepare custom geospatial data packages for clients
- Support mapping for field operations, infrastructure and pipeline integrity work
- Check data for accuracy and flag issues before they reach clients
- A diploma or degree in Geomatics, Geography, GIS or a related field
- Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Pro, QGIS or similar tools
- Attention to detail, especially when combining data from different sources
- Clear communication, whether you’re working on your own or with the team
- Familiarity with Alberta’s land survey system (DLS / ATS)
- Python, SQL, FME or PostGIS experience

Responsibilities
Source, convert, clean, standardize, and maintain geospatial datasets and mapping layers used by the company’s software platform. Prepare client data packages, support mapping for field operations and pipeline integrity, and check data accuracy before delivery.
Requirements
Applicants should have a diploma or degree in Geomatics, Geography, GIS, or a related field, along with hands-on experience using ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, or similar tools. Strong attention to detail and clear communication are required; familiarity with Alberta’s land survey system and experience with Python, SQL, FME, or PostGIS are advantageous.
