Company Description Able Consulting Unlimited is family owned counselling service located in Alberta Canada. The company provides English language communication assistance, internet counselling services and health care assistance as needed to qualified students who are able to legally register in post-secondary schools or universities anywhere in Canada. As the business grows, legal support has become needed to bring allegations of crime to Justices of the Peace in the Criminal Court Division at Victoria BC pertaining to racial or religious prejudice against students as performed by errant government officers who trespassed interrupting student sleep and study privacy - as criminal allegations on private information to the Victoria Registry, and help to Able Consulting counsellors as witnesses. A lawyer able to practice on Vancouver Island in the greater Victoria area, with experience in criminal law (or at least an understanding of Section 269.1 of the Criminal Code is essential. Catholic faith knowledge and understanding of the Social Doctrine of the Catholic Church would be an asset, because there are still no Catholic hospitals managed by Providence Health Care within Vancouver Island Health Authority. In keeping our faith we seek justice, not revenge nor "intergenerational" vengeance through civil litigation, so we want a sentencing hearing for the witnesses scheduled ASAP at our convenience, as we have evidence beyond doubt.
Role Description Fees for services will be negotiated as an hourly rate.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in landlord and tenants agreements, BC and Alberta Law and Canada Health Act enforcement, and dispute resolution in the area of "mental health" and Post-Taser Attack PTSD.
- Knowledge of what informed consent actually means in professional ethics and morals.
- Experience in risk management, dispute resolution, and providing practical legal advice to police constables with minimal academic education, but evidently armed with lethal or nearly lethal weapons.
- Excellent legal research, analysis, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, manage multiple matters, and meet deadlines.
- Law degree (JD or equivalent) and admission to practice law in a Canadian jurisdiction, with eligibility to practice in Alberta AND British Columbia.
- Prior experience as a mid-level or senior associate in a law firm or in-house legal role.
- High ethical standards, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
