As we expand our international presence, we are looking for an experienced Senior Bid & Proposal Manager who understands the airport technology market and knows how to turn complex RFP opportunities into successful contracts.
About the Role
We are seeking a commercially minded Bid & Proposal Manager with proven experience in airport IT, aviation technology, or passenger processing systems.
The ideal candidate has worked with established airport technology providers such as Collins Aerospace, SITA, Amadeus, or similar organizations and understands the procurement processes of airports, airlines, and ground handlers.
You will take ownership of our international tendering activities, from identifying opportunities and developing bid strategies to coordinating technical proposals, preparing commercial submissions, and supporting contract negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and manage international RFP, RFI, and tender opportunities in the airport technology market.
- Lead the complete bid lifecycle, from qualification through submission, clarification, negotiation, and contract award.
- Develop compelling technical and commercial proposals tailored to airport, airline, and ground handling requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering, product management, sales, finance, and executive teams.
- Develop competitive pricing strategies and commercial models.
- Review tender documentation, contractual requirements, compliance matrices, and evaluation criteria.
- Build and maintain a reusable library of proposal content, technical responses, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor competitor activities, procurement trends, and major airport technology projects.
- Support customer presentations, demonstrations, and commercial negotiations.
- Improve ABOMIS's bid management processes and overall tender success rate.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in bid management, proposal management, or commercial tendering.
- Proven experience with airport IT, aviation technology, passenger processing, or related infrastructure solutions.
- Strong understanding of airport procurement processes and complex international RFPs.
- Experience coordinating technical and commercial teams.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong commercial judgment, negotiation skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines independently.
Highly Desirable Experience
- Previous experience with Collins Aerospace Airport Solutions, SITA, Amadeus, or other leading airport technology providers.
- Knowledge of CUPPS, CUTE, CUSS, DCS, self-service kiosks, and airport common-use systems.
- Experience preparing bids for airport authorities, airlines, and ground handling companies.
- Familiarity with long-term airport technology contracts, SLAs, implementation plans, and recurring software licensing models.
- Established knowledge of the global airport technology ecosystem.
