We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to manage day-to-day production planning at our high-capacity manufacturing facility that operates 36 injection machines running on a continuous 24/7 schedule.

This role is responsible for building, maintaining, and adjusting production schedules to meet customer demand while balancing machine capacity, labor constraints, and material availability.

Responsibilities

Planning Execution:

Create and maintain detailed production schedules;
Plan and release jobs based on forecast, material availability, and capacity of resources;
Leverage system tools to ensure schedule optimization;
Monitor schedule adherence and adjust as necessary;
Manage updates, reschedules, and job closures in ERP;
Ensure alignment between production output and open customer orders.

Capacity & Demand Alignment:

Evaluate capacity loading for different resources to support both short-term execution and longer-term planning;
Balance forecast-driven production with open order demand;
Participate in forecast alignment discussions and recommend production responses.

System & Data Accuracy:

Identify inaccuracies in BOMs, operations or cycle times that impact planning;
Adjust the planning parameters for MRP process;
Work cross-functionally to resolve data integrity issues;
Utilize ERP and MES reporting to improve visibility and decision-making.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

Work closely with VP Manufacturing to align on schedule priorities;
Partner with Sales to evaluate order changes and recommend feasible delivery timelines;
Communicate production schedules clearly to operations teams.

Required qualifications

DEC/AEC or bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, operations management, logistics or a related field. Any equivalent combination of education and experience would be acceptable;
Minimum of 5 years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment;
Bilingualism (French and English) to communicate with our teams outside Quebec;\
Proficiency with an ERP/MRP system (Epicor) and the Microsoft suite;
Comfortable with digital transformation and the rise of artificial intelligence;
Strong organizational and prioritization skills;
Ability to work independently and make sound planning decisions;
Comfortable operating in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift;
Plastic injection molding experience (asset);
Experience working with MES systems (asset);
Familiarity with high-mix, make-to-stock environments (asset).

Nous recherchons un planificateur de production expérimenté pour gérer la planification quotidienne au sein de notre site de ville St-Laurent. Celle-ci fonctionne à grande capacité avec ses 36 presses à injection, 24 - 7.

Le titulaire de ce poste est chargé d'élaborer, de mettre à jour et d'ajuster le planning de production afin de répondre à la demande des clients, tout en tenant compte de la capacité des machines, des contraintes en matière de main-d'œuvre et de la disponibilité des matériaux.

Responsabilités

Exécution de la planification :

Créer et tenir à jour la cédule de production;
Planifier et valider la production en fonction des prévisions, de la disponibilité des matériaux et de la capacité des ressources humaines;
Utiliser les outils du système pour garantir l’optimisation de la cédule;
Respecter la cédule et les ajuster si nécessaire;
Gérer les mises à jour, les changements et fermer la cédule dans le ERP;
Veiller à ce que la production et les commandes en cours soient alignées.

Alignement des capacités et de la demande :

Évaluer la charge des différentes ressources afin de soutenir à la fois l'exécution à court terme et la planification à plus long terme;
Équilibrer la production basée sur les prévisions et la demande liée aux commandes en cours;
Participer aux discussions sur l'alignement des prévisions et recommander des mesures de production adaptées.

Exactitude des systèmes et des données :

Identifier les inexactitudes dans les nomenclatures, les opérations ou les temps de cycle qui ont une incidence sur la planification;
Ajuster les paramètres de planification pour le processus MRP;
Travailler en collaboration avec les différents départements pour résoudre les différents problèmes;
Utiliser les rapports ERP et MES pour améliorer la visibilité et la prise de décision.

Coordination interfonctionnelle :

Travailler en étroite collaboration avec le vice-président production afin d’établir les priorités de production;
Travailler étroitement avec le département des ventes pour évaluer les modifications apportées aux commandes et proposer des délais de livraison réalistes;
Communiquer clairement le calendrier de production aux différentes équipes.

Qualifications

DEC/AEC ou Baccalauréat en administration, en gestion de l’approvisionnement, gestion des opérations, logistique ou dans un domaine connexe. Toute combinaison équivalente de formation et d’expérience serait acceptable;
Minimum 5 ans d’expérience en planification de la production dans un environnement de manufacturier;
Bilinguisme (français et anglais) afin d’échanger avec nos équipes de travail hors Québec;
Maîtrise de système ERP/MRP (Epicor) ainsi que de la suite Microsoft;
A l’aise avec la transformation numérique et l’arrivée de l’intelligence artificielle;
Solides compétences en matière d’organisation et de hiérarchisation des priorités;
Capacité à travailler de manière autonome et à prendre des décisions;
Capacité de s'adapter à un environnement dynamique où les priorités évoluent et changent rapidement;
Expérience dans le moulage par injection de plastique (atout);
Expérience avec de la production à haut volume de plusieurs et différents produits;
Expérience dans l'utilisation de systèmes MES (atout).
