Original job description

You've Never Been Satisfied with “Good Enough.”

You didn't get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built.

At Accenture Construct, that's the job. You'll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving - smarter, safer and more sustainably.

You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won't be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land.

Because “good enough” builds the past. You're here to build what's next.

(Internal Title: Estimation III)
Prepare order-of-magnitude, conceptual, feasibility, pre-design, budget, value engineering, control, definitive, and final Engineer’s estimates as well as major change order estimates.
Estimate mechanical systems involving subway station ventilation equipment, HVAC, building automation & controls, plumbing, hydronic systems & boilers, storm & sanitary drainage, utilities, fire protection, conveying equipment, service and maintenance equipment, pumps, storage tanks, compressed air, natural gas systems, etc.
Prepare cost breakdown documents for progress payments and detailed quantity surveys from analysis of contract drawings and specifications.
Prepare basis of estimate documentation for inclusion into reports.
Analyze and report on cost breakdowns and price schedules submitted by contractors subsequent to tender closing.
Prepare cost variance reports and explanations, tender comparisons, post bid analysis, cost reduction strategies and recommendations.
Maintain current construction cost data based on historical costs, market research and indices in the application of a computerized cost estimating system.
Provide mechanical trade cost information to the Project Teams for inclusion into budgets, schedules and cash flows.
Liaise with various EC&E Branch management and staff, other client Branches, external agencies, consultants and suppliers to obtain facts and cost information pertinent to the performance of the estimating work.
Review and comment on foreign cost estimates to ensure accuracy, comprehensiveness and consistency with the E&C Branch estimating guidelines and procedures.
Maintain files and records of work.

Working Conditions

About Accenture Construct

Accenture Construct is Accenture's global capital projects business.

The data centers behind AI. The grid behind the energy transition. The rail, water and airports everything else runs on.

We plan them, engineer them, deliver them and hand them over - and unlike most of this market, we're on the hook for whether they land on time. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC. One team that owns the whole thing.

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time employment, for roles that may be hired as set forth below.

The recruiting efforts for this position are intended to fill a new position.

The base pay range shown below is intended as a guideline to reflect the majority of offers for this role. It does not represent a maximum limit - in some cases, actual compensation may exceed the range where appropriate.
