Original job description

Accenture | St. Catharines, Ontario | Full-Time $23.75/hr starting wage | $2,000 signing bonus

There's never a typical day at Accenture - and that's exactly why we love it.

As part of Accenture's Trust & Safety team, you'll be on the front lines of trust - protecting millions of users on one of the world's most advanced AI platforms from fraud, abuse, and harm.

The work you do every day directly keeps real people safe online.

We Are

At Accenture, we're a team of over 774,000 people in 120+ countries - and for 13 consecutive years, we've been recognized as one of Canada's Top Employers. We bring together deep expertise in AI, cybersecurity, and digital risk with a culture that genuinely invests in the people behind the work.

In St. Catharines, you'll find a collaborative, technology-enabled environment where your instincts and judgment are valued - and where high performers often advance into senior or specialist roles within 6–12 months.

You Are

You're the kind of person who notices what others miss. You read between the lines, ask the right questions, and trust your instincts when something feels off. You're not rattled by complexity or ambiguity - you lean into it.

Maybe you've worked in trust and safety, content moderation, fraud prevention, or a legal or privacy-adjacent role. Maybe you've developed sharp investigative instincts in a different context entirely. Either way, you're motivated by purpose - by the idea that your work directly makes the internet safer for real people.

You bring empathy to difficult content, precision to your analysis, and integrity to every case you close.

The Work

As a User Safety & Risk Operations Agent, you'll investigate, assess, and act on some of the most complex and consequential cases on the platform. Your day-to-day will include:

Content Moderation

Enforcing platform policies through manual review and AI-assisted moderation systems

Handling escalated reports of harmful or policy-violating content with accuracy and care

Reviewing user appeals and making sound, well-documented moderation decisions

Risk & Abuse Prevention

Detecting and disrupting scams, spam, and coordinated inauthentic behaviour

Investigating suspicious activity, account compromises, and emerging abuse patterns

Identifying gaps in current systems and surfacing recommendations to prevent future harm

Fraud Detection & Investigation

Monitoring for fraudulent activity including fake accounts, payment fraud, and chargebacks

Analyzing fraud trends and contributing insights that sharpen the platform's defenses

Escalating high-risk cases and collaborating cross-functionally to drive resolution

Schedule: Full-time (35–44 hours/week) | Rotating shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays | 4+ weeks of paid training with ongoing coaching and support

What You'll Bring

Required:

Minimum 6 months of experience in Trust & Safety, Content Moderation, Data Privacy, Cybersecurity, or a Legal environment

High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have:

Familiarity with Generative AI products and how they're used - and misused

Experience with investigative tools such as login history review, API log analysis, or secure PII handling systems

Comfort working within evolving usage policies and the ability to adapt quickly as they change

You'll Thrive Here If You:

Catch details others overlook - high accuracy is your baseline, not your ceiling

Think critically and act decisively, even when cases are ambiguous or high-stakes

Communicate clearly in writing, especially when documenting complex findings

Bring genuine empathy to difficult content without losing your analytical edge

Stay composed and focused in a fast-paced, high-impact environment

What You'll Get

$23.75/hr starting wage + $2,000 signing bonus

Comprehensive benefits: health, wellness, paid time off, and retirement plan options

Full-time hours (35–44 hours/week) with monthly scheduling flexibility based on performance

Annual performance-based salary increases and recognition programs

4+ weeks of paid training plus ongoing coaching and skill development

Modern, technology-enabled workstations built for focused investigative work

Active Employee Resource Groups and volunteer initiatives - a real sense of community and belonging

Your First Role Here Is Just That - Your First.

Accenture's global reach and multi-industry depth means your career path isn't a ladder - it's a landscape. People who join this team go on to become risk specialists, team leads, policy experts, and more - often within their first year.

You'll sharpen expertise in risk management, data analysis, and responsible AI - while helping ensure a safer digital future for everyone.

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location,

role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time

employment, for roles that may be hired as set forth below.

The recruiting efforts for this position are intended to fill a brand new position.

The base pay range shown below is intended as a guideline to reflect the majority of offers for this role.

It does not represent a maximum limit - in some cases, actual compensation may exceed the range where appropriate.
