Job Title: Security Architect – Cloud & Application Security
Location: Montreal, QC
Work Model: Onsite
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Security Architect – Cloud & Application Security to design, implement, and strengthen security architecture across cloud environments and applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud security, Zero Trust architecture, identity and access management, security monitoring, and application security controls.
Key Responsibilities
•
Design and implement security architectures across Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
•
Develop and implement Zero Trust security principles to protect cloud infrastructure, applications, and enterprise resources.
•
Configure and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and access governance to ensure secure access.
•
Leverage Microsoft Defender and advanced security analytics to identify threats, investigate risks, and strengthen security posture.
•
Establish and maintain comprehensive security logging, monitoring, and event collection across cloud environments.
•
Implement secure log transmission and communication using TLS and Syslog protocols.
•
Define, implement, and validate application security controls in accordance with industry standards and security best practices.
•
Identify security vulnerabilities and risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and ensure security requirements are integrated into application and cloud architecture.
•
Collaborate with cloud, application development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure secure-by-design solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
•
Proven experience in security architecture, cloud security, and application security.
•
Hands-on expertise with Azure, AWS, and GCP security services and controls.
•
Strong understanding of Zero Trust architecture, IAM, and RBAC.
•
Experience with Microsoft Defender, security analytics, threat detection, and security monitoring.
•
Knowledge of centralized logging, secure log transmission, TLS, and Syslog.
•
Strong understanding of application security controls, secure development practices, and industry-standard security frameworks.
•
Ability to assess security risks, design appropriate controls, and provide practical security architecture recommendations.
•
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
