The Associate Operations Director will be responsible for driving logistics and field operations process creation, implementation and execution. They will fuel team growth through optimization, effective management, attention to detail and proactive solution driving. They will be a leader and internal champion of field and operational executions. Supports the day-to-day functions of team development.

Responsibilities

Account & Client Leadership
•    Serve as a key day-to-day client contact and build trusted relationships with client partners.
•    Develop a strong understanding of the client's business, brands, priorities, and challenges.
•    Lead client meetings, status calls, presentations, and program updates.
•    Proactively identify client needs and bring forward solutions and recommendations.
•    Help manage client expectations, timelines, and priorities across multiple projects.
•    Partner with the Account Director on account planning, relationship development, and strategic opportunities.

Project Leadership
•    Lead experiential programs from brief through execution, including timelines, deliverables, budgets, and team coordination.
•    Develop project plans and ensure all internal teams and partners are aligned against key milestones.
•    Work closely with Creative, Production, Strategy, Operations, and external vendors to bring programs to life.
•    Manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously, balancing competing priorities.
•    Identify risks early and develop solutions to keep projects moving forward.
•    Oversee on-site execution for key programs and ensure the client experience is delivered to a high standard.
•    Lead post-program recaps and identify learnings and opportunities for improvement.

Financial & Scope Management
•    Manage project budgets, estimates, invoices, and financial tracking in partnership with the Account Director and Project Management.
•    Ensure projects are appropriately scoped and resourced from the outset.
•    Monitor program spend and proactively flag potential risks or scope changes.
•    Ensure incremental work is communicated and approved before execution.
•    Develop strong financial acumen and understand the impact of project decisions on account profitability.

Team Leadership
•    Provide day-to-day direction and support to Account Managers, Coordinators, and junior team members.
•    Delegate work effectively and create clear accountability across the project team.
•    Mentor and support the development of more junior team members.
•    Foster collaboration across Account, Creative, Production, and Operations.
•    Act as a reliable escalation point for the team and help resolve challenges as they arise.

Account Growth
•    Identify opportunities to add value to existing client relationships and expand the agency's role.
•    Bring forward relevant ideas, capabilities, and opportunities based on an understanding of the client's business.
•    Support the Account Director with account growth initiatives, proposals, RFPs, and new business opportunities.
•    Help strengthen relationships across client teams and build credibility as a trusted agency partner.

Agency Leadership
•    Contribute to a positive, collaborative agency culture and strong ways of working.
•    Share learnings and best practices across accounts and teams.
•    Take ownership beyond assigned projects and look for ways to improve how the agency delivers work.
•    Begin building broader agency influence through collaboration across teams and disciplines.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

7+ years of experience in experiential marketing, events, advertising, marketing, or a related agency environment.
Strong experience managing experiential programs from brief through execution.
Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead day-to-day client communications.
Experience managing multiple projects, timelines, budgets, and stakeholders simultaneously.
Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
Experience mentoring or managing junior team members.
Comfortable working across Creative, Production, Operations, Strategy, and external partners.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture.
A proactive, solutions-oriented approach and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
An understanding of the financial and commercial side of agency business.
