Typical Responsibilities
Depending On The Opportunity, Responsibilities May Include:
- Developing and executing software test plans, test cases, and validation procedures
- Designing and maintaining automated test frameworks using Python
- Testing embedded software, firmware, and hardware-integrated systems
- Performing functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing
- Troubleshooting software and hardware defects
- Supporting product verification and validation activities
- Analyzing test results and documenting findings
- Collaborating with software, firmware, systems, electrical, and quality teams
- Supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated testing initiatives
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in software testing, embedded systems, or software development
- Experience developing test automation solutions using Python
- Understanding of software development and testing methodologies
- Experience with Linux and/or Windows environments
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Additional Skills Considered Assets
- Embedded C/C++
- Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing
- Test automation frameworks
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
- CAN Bus, UDS, and automotive protocols
- RTOS environments
- Linux Embedded Systems
- Networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP)
- Lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies
- PyTest, Robot Framework, Selenium, or custom automation frameworks
- Firmware validation and verification
- Aerospace, Automotive, Medical Device, or Telecommunications experience
