Job Title: Firmware Engineer

Job Description

Join a leading biomedical and biotechnology engineering firm, specializing in the manufacture of medical devices used in interventional medical specialties. Our division focuses on catheters, which are medical devices inserted into the body to treat diseases or perform surgical procedures. You will work on an innovative project: an over-the-wire catheter with variable distal shapes (basket and flower) to successfully ablate the pulmonary vein across a wide range of unique patient anatomies.

Responsibilities

Take a project from inception to completion (including testing).
Design, architect, develop, and test firmware systems.
Document all development with adherence to medical standards.
Define the scope of your projects.
Troubleshoot firmware and hardware issues.
Develop STM32 microcontrollers with bootloaders, concurrency, and completion methods.
Develop bare metal solutions in embedded C.
Ask questions to fill gaps in firmware knowledge.
Conduct board testing if needed.

Essential Skills

5 years of experience in embedded C.
5 years of firmware development.
5 years of bare metal or RTOS development.
5 years of microcontroller experience (MCU).
Hardware understanding.
English and French understanding.

Additional Skills And Qualifications

Experience with Canbus, regulated medical environments, bootloader, VHDL, FPGA.
Bilingual.
Experience with STM32, Keil, Parallels interface/screen.
Experience in regulated industry and medical field.

Work Environment

Hybrid work environment, 3 days in office, with potential for additional days based on project requirements.

Prendre un projet de A à Z (test inclus).
Concevoir, architecturer, développer et tester des systèmes de firmware.
Documenter tout le développement selon les normes médicales.
Définir la portée de vos projets.
Résoudre les problèmes de firmware/matériel.
Développer des microcontrôleurs STM32 avec des bootloaders, des méthodes de concurrence et de complétion.
