Job Title: Tooling Project Manager Job Description

Management of multiple tooling projects needed for aircraft assembly, from the receipt of requirements to the delivery of tools to the workstation.

Responsibilities

Manage projects in their entirety, from the receipt of basic requirements to delivery, including risk management, adherence to budgets and timelines, as well as quality assurance.
Produce technical requirement documents that comply with Airbus standards, OIQ regulations, and health and safety standards in force in Canada and the United States.
Launch calls for tenders for projects and select the most suitable suppliers, ensuring the quality and compliance of the services and products provided.
Ensure the quality of technical documents used in tenders (such as work standards, specifications, and their annexes).
Prepare detailed schedules that allow tracking of project progress, anticipating risks, and ensuring objectives are met within the specified deadlines.
Estimate technical solutions based on a requirement and produce cost estimates.
Effectively manage the financial resources allocated to a project, ensuring expenses stay within the approved budget while achieving defined objectives.
Collaborate closely with the methods, finance, procurement teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
Interpret, understand, and adhere to drawings and specifications.
Manage the subcontracting of engineering services (Plan, coordinate, and schedule).
Lead tooling installation projects.
Facilitate cross-departmental meetings and ensure every team member is engaged.
Find solutions to various challenges encountered during the project.
Present project progress reports to business management.
