Structural Stress Analysis Engineer

About The Opportunity

Our client, a leading organization in the high-tech manufacturing sector, is seeking a Structural Stress Analysis Engineer to support engineering activities related to metallic structures, composite structures, and system installations. This is a contract opportunity offered through a hybrid work model, combining remote work with on-site presence in the Greater Montreal, Quebec area.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the technical scope is executed in accordance with customer requirements, program needs, and manufacturing standards.
Participate in stress analysis activities involving:
Support technical decision-making related to:
Prepare technical deliverables and ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
Participate in the analysis and implementation of engineering changes with cross-functional stakeholders.
Prepare test and validation reports.
Validate developed methodologies through correlation of test results and analytical calculations.
Contribute toward established performance objectives related to analysis output and quality.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Stress Analyst or Stress Engineer.
Knowledge of structural calculations for:
Proficiency with NASTRAN, PATRAN, or equivalent finite element analysis (FEA) software.
Ability to perform structural analyses and interpret engineering results.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience performing stress analysis in:
Additional design engineering experience.
Experience supporting primary structural analysis in a regulated engineering environment.

Work Schedule

Hybrid work arrangement.
Current expectation of approximately 2 days per week on site.
Candidates should be open to increased on-site presence based on operational requirements.

Compensation And Benefits

Responsabilités

Veiller au respect de la portée technique conformément aux exigences du client, aux besoins du programme et aux normes du manufacturier.
Participer aux analyses de contraintes portant sur :

Les structures primaires;
Les structures secondaires;
Les installations de systèmes.

Appuyer la prise de décisions techniques relatives :

Aux analyses de contraintes des structures primaires;
Aux supports fixes et mobiles;
Aux installations de systèmes sous votre responsabilité.

Préparer les livrables techniques et assurer leur conformité aux exigences applicables.
Participer à l'analyse et à la mise en uvre des changements en collaboration avec différentes parties prenantes.
Rédiger des rapports d'essais et de validation.
Valider les méthodologies développées en corrélant les résultats d'essais et les calculs analytiques.
Contribuer à l'atteinte des objectifs de performance liés au volume et à la qualité des analyses réalisées.

Qualifications Requises

Minimum de 5 années d'expérience en analyse de contraintes ou en ingénierie des contraintes structurales.
Expérience des calculs structuraux appliqués aux :

Structures métalliques;
Structures composites;
Structures secondaires;
Installations de systèmes.

Maîtrise de NASTRAN, PATRAN ou d'un outil équivalent d'analyse par éléments finis (FEA).
Capacité à réaliser des analyses structurales et à interpréter les résultats techniques.
Aptitude à travailler dans un environnement multidisciplinaire.
