Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Join a dynamic team to design and develop automated conveyor systems and material handling equipment. Your role will involve creating mechanical concepts, drawings, layouts, and performing necessary calculations. You will be responsible for selecting appropriate motors, gearboxes, bearings, and other mechanical components. Collaborate closely with automation, electrical, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of systems.

Responsibilities

Support equipment installation, testing, and commissioning.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues in the field and identify root causes.
Recommend and implement improvements to increase system reliability and performance.
Support customers and after-sales service teams with technical issues.
Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in mechanical design.
Experience in design modifications on automated products.
Proficiency in designing conveyors, industrial machinery, or complex products.
Strong skills in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and CAD.
Bachelor's degree (BAC)

This is a Contract position based out of Terrebonne, QC.
