Aston Carter's large client is seeking a Labour Relations Coordinator to join their team in Prince George!

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary labour relations contact across active construction sites.
Manage grievances, disputes, workforce complaints, and labour investigations through resolution.
Interpret and administer collective and project labour agreements, including jurisdictional disputes.
Build strong relationships with trade unions, labour organizations, and unionized contractors.
Monitor and report workforce availability, retention, absenteeism, turnover, and craft productivity trends.
Ensure contractor compliance with labour agreements, site rules, and workforce reporting requirements.
Partner with HR, HSE, Contracts, and Project Controls on workforce planning, mobilization, and demobilization.
Identify and escalate emerging labour risks, recommending mitigation to minimize schedule and cost impacts.
Maintain a visible field presence across compressor station construction, including civil/earthworks, structural and foundations, mechanical installation and gas compression equipment, piping/pressure vessels, electrical, instrumentation/controls, buildings/auxiliary facilities, and commissioning/startup.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

MUST HAVES

810+ years in Labour Relations, Industrial Relations, or HR supporting unionized workforces.
2+ years on industrial construction projects, such as heavy industrial, energy, LNG, or resource infrastructure.
3+ years working directly with trade unions, labour organizations, and unionized construction contractors.
BC or Western Canada project experience working under provincial labour legislation and regional building trades agreements.
Proven ownership of grievances, disputes, workforce complaints, and formal labour investigations through resolution.
Degree or diploma in Labour Relations, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or Construction Management.

NICE TO HAVE

Previous major pipeline project experience.
Experience supporting camp-based workforces.
Knowledge of Indigenous workforce engagement initiatives.
Experience administering Project Labour Agreements (PLAs).
Spanish language skills.
Experience supporting projects exceeding $100M in construction value.

This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
