Position Overview
Actalent is partnering with a growing engineering and manufacturing organization to identify an experienced
Project Manager to lead the successful execution of complex industrial projects from concept through final delivery.
This role offers the opportunity to oversee technically challenging projects that involve engineering, manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing project risks, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of complex engineering and industrial projects from planning through completion.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, manufacturing, procurement, suppliers, and field personnel.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, and resource plans.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project performance and proactively identify and resolve risks, delays, and execution challenges.
- Support project reviews, status updates, and customer-facing discussions regarding progress, deliverables, and key milestones.
- Manage project documentation, reporting, and change control processes.
- Evaluate and communicate the impacts of scope changes on cost, schedule, and resources.
- Support equipment testing, startup, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project execution, efficiency, and overall project delivery.
- Foster strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders while promoting a culture of accountability, safety, and quality.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience within industrial, manufacturing, engineering, construction, infrastructure, or related technical environments.
- Proven experience managing large, technically complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience overseeing projects involving engineered systems, industrial equipment, manufacturing operations, or capital projects.
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, including planning, execution, risk management, and closeout.
- Technical history in engineering, construction, manufacturing, industrial operations, trades, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working closely with technical, operational, and field-based teams.
- Ability to identify challenges, evaluate options, and drive practical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP designation or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience supporting industrial, infrastructure, manufacturing, energy, utilities, or large capital projects.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Previous hands-on experience within construction, manufacturing, fabrication, maintenance, commissioning, or industrial operations.
- Experience leading custom-engineered, made-to-order, or technically complex project portfolios.
- Demonstrated success working directly with clients, contractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets, schedules, and change management processes.

This is a Contract position based out of Edmonton, AB.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58.97 - $69.23/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
