  • Manage communication and information flow between internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and other project participants.
  • Support contractor and contract management activities, including coordination of scope, change management, and performance monitoring throughout project delivery.

  • Maintain strong organization across a changing portfolio of smaller projects with different schedules, stakeholders, and requirements.
  • Work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision while demonstrating initiative and ownership of assigned projects.
  • Receive and act on day-to-day direction from municipal representatives while maintaining professional communication and alignment with project objectives.
  • Ensure municipal processes, policies, and stakeholder expectations are understood and incorporated into project planning and execution.
  • Coordinate work related to municipal infrastructure and facility projects such as sidewalks, streets, community centres, building repairs, painting, parapet and flashing work, and mechanical unit-related activities.

  • Ability to travel to Fort McMurray and surrounding communities for site inspections as required.
  • Comfortable stepping into an environment with a large and evolving portfolio of small projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with public-sector clients or within a municipal organization.
  • Existing knowledge of how municipal departments interact and how to identify the appropriate policy or decision owner.
  • Based in Fort McMurray, or able to be based there, is preferred.
  • Edmonton-based candidates are also suitable, provided they can travel to Fort McMurray and surrounding locations as required.
  • Interest in building stronger municipal and owner-side project management experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a role with broad responsibility and significant autonomy over a portfolio of projects.
