As our operations continue to grow, we are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team.
Position Overview
The Customer Service Representative will support daily operations through data entry, administrative tasks, and responding to customer inquiries. This is an entry-level position suited for someone who is organized, comfortable working with computers, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily data entry, including entering customer orders, shipment details, and updating records in company systems.
- Respond to customer inquiries through email and phone, providing accurate and timely information.
- Assist customers with shipment tracking, delivery updates, and general transportation-related inquiries.
- Review, upload, and maintain transportation documents, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), Proofs of Delivery (PODs), and other shipment paperwork.
- Maintain accurate and organized customer records, shipment information, and internal documentation.
- Monitor email inboxes, follow up on outstanding requests, and ensure timely responses.
- Coordinate with Dispatch, Warehouse, Sales, and Accounting teams to assist with customer requests and daily operations.
- Identify and escalate customer concerns or service-related issues to the appropriate department.
- Complete general administrative duties, reporting, and other ad hoc tasks as assigned.
- Support the team with additional customer service and operational responsibilities as required.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when entering and reviewing information.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other office applications.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Dependable, adaptable, and willing to learn new systems and procedures.
- Professional and customer-focused approach when handling inquiries and resolving issues.
Education & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in Business, Administration, Logistics, or a related field is an asset.
- Previous experience in customer service, administration, or data entry is an asset but not required.
- Experience in the transportation, trucking, or logistics industry is an asset.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems, particularly TruckMate, is an asset but not required.
