Original job description

Alcanza is a growing multi-site, multi-phase clinical research company with a network of locations in AL, AZ, FL, GA, IL, MA, MI, MO, NV, VA, SC, TN, TX and Puerto Rico. We have established a strong presence across Phase I-IV studies and several therapeutic areas including vaccine, neurology, dermatology, psychiatry, and general medicine. The Contracts Administrator is responsible for drafting various contractor and employment agreements and amendments. This role partners closely with HR and executive leadership to ensure contractual terms align with business objectives while minimizing legal and financial risks.

Essential Job Duties

Support the administration, maintenance, and consistent application of 1099 and W2 contracts.
Draft NDAs, confidentiality, contractor, employment, consulting, and other agreements and amendments, as needed.
Provide guidance and interpretation of contractual terms, obligations, and compliance requirements.
Maintenance of a comprehensive contract baseline and record system.
Maintain a positive, results-oriented work environment and build partnerships within the team and across the organization.
Handle compensation information with discretion, confidentiality, accuracy, and sound judgment.
Perform all other duties that may be requested or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in business management, law, or related field, and 2+ years of related contracting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Must have strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and contract terminology.

Required Skills

Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PP, Teams, Sharepoint), web applications, and the ability to type proficiently (40+ wpm)
Strong organizational, attention to detail, time management, problem-solving, and project coordination skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and handle highly sensitive compensation and employee information with discretion and professionalism.
Must possess a high degree of professionalism, integrity, dependability, respect for others, self-motivation, and a strong work ethic.
Ability to work under minimal supervision, identify problems and implement solutions.
Ability to handle highly sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner, and in compliance with privacy and company guidelines.
Full-time employees regularly scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week are benefits-eligible, with coverage starting on the first day of the month following date of hire.
