Project Manager – IT & Cloud Delivery

Location: Montreal, QC – Remote OR Toronto, ON – Hybrid, 3 days onsite

Job Type: Contract

Experience: 7+ years

Overview

Seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead IT and cloud projects throughout the delivery lifecycle. The role involves ownership of scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks and stakeholder communication to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, objectives and success measures with senior management.
  • Identify resource requirements and develop integrated delivery plans covering schedules, costs, dependencies, risks, quality, communications and vendor activities.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, allocating resources effectively.
  • Execute approved plans and manage changes to scope, budget and timelines through established governance processes.
  • Monitor delivery progress, resolve issues and escalate risks when required.
  • Maintain centrally stored, approved project documentation.
  • Prepare project-status updates and steering-committee reports.
  • Lead effort and cost re-estimation at project gates and obtain approval for revisions.
  • Improve project-management lifecycle documentation, templates and processes to strengthen delivery efficiency and audit readiness.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience managing IT projects, including cloud implementations.
  • Experience delivering projects above $2M, covering both business and IT phases.
  • Good understanding of IT architecture and data platforms.
  • Relevant university degree or equivalent project-management experience within financial services.
  • Experience delivering within complex, fully matrixed organizations.
  • Strong leadership, team management, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Experience with SDLC, Iterative and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship-management skills.
  • Prior experience working with regulators and external clients.
  • PMP certification.
  • French language capability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Google Suite and Workday experience.
  • Delivery experience involving in-house development, third-party applications, on-premises systems and cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with data-transformation tools and CI/CD automation.
