Adecco is currently hiring an
Associate Process Engineer for a full-time temporary opportunity.
This role is ideal for an early-career engineering, including new and recent graduates, or science professional interested in gaining hands-on experience in high-speed automated manufacturing, process engineering, quality, and continuous improvement.
In this position, you will support an assembly line and play a key role in maintaining manufacturing output, product quality, and compliance. You will monitor line performance, troubleshoot process issues, support quality initiatives, and collaborate with Operations, Technicians, and Engineering teams to improve overall manufacturing performance.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and take action on key Assembly Line KPIs, including Safety, Quality, Cartridges per Hour (CPH), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Line Yield, Output, Material Use Variance, Productivity, Faults, and Downtime.
- Collaborate with Operations, Technicians, and Engineering stakeholders to identify and address manufacturing performance issues.
- Represent line performance during Tier 1 and Tier 2 performance huddles and escalate requests for additional support when required.
- Work closely with Line Machine Operators to develop best practices and standardize performance across shifts.
- Support line operations and maintenance through certification and subject matter expertise.
- Apply structured problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Track and analyze Critical Process Parameters (CPPs), Critical Quality Attributes (CQAs), finished goods performance, and customer complaints.
- Support stable product quality through PFMEAs, control plans, process monitoring, and error-proofing initiatives.
- Maintain compliance through accurate record-keeping and the ongoing support of validations, verifications, calibrations, and design changes.
- Support the timely resolution of quality events, investigations, and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
- Lead projects of low complexity and provide support on medium-complexity projects.
- Lead the resolution of low- and medium-impact quality records with appropriate support.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing efficiency, product quality, compliance, and overall line performance.
Requirements
- Must be eligible to work and reside in Canada.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering or Science, with Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
- New and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- 0 to 1 year of relevant experience in manufacturing, process engineering, operations, co-op placements, internships, academic projects, or research environments is preferred.
- Proven technical, creative, and implementation skills.
- Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to apply structured problem-solving techniques and determine the appropriate level of analysis required to make practical decisions.
- Ability to balance immediate production priorities with longer-term projects and improvement initiatives.
- Excellent planning, coordination, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to communicate across different organizational levels.
- Ability to develop effective internal and external working relationships.
- Commitment to continuous learning, experimentation, and process improvement.
- Experience with automated assembly processes is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of ISO/FDA regulations, GMP 21 CFR Part 820, process qualification, risk management, PFMEA methodologies, and Quality/CAPA systems is considered an asset.
- Experience with experimental design, data analysis, process control, statistical analysis, root cause analysis, or Six Sigma methodologies is considered an asset.
- Experience with SolidWorks, SQL, Minitab, SAS JMP, or PLC/HMI programming is considered an asset.
