We're looking for an experienced Senior Estimator- Capital Projects who thrives in complex project environments and enjoys building systems, processes, and cost strategies that drive informed decision-making.
As a trusted partner to project leadership, you will provide cost certainty, challenge assumptions, and help establish the estimating framework for a major infrastructure development. - Build accurate and transparent cost models, quantity take-offs, cash flow forecasts, and estimate documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, procurement, finance, and project teams to ensure estimates reflect project realities.
- Lead estimate reviews, benchmarking exercises, risk assessments, and validation sessions.
- Identify key cost drivers, project risks, opportunities, and market impacts.
- Provide estimating expertise to support business cases, funding requests, project approvals, and governance reviews.
- Integrate market intelligence, procurement strategies, contractor pricing, and industry trends into project estimates.
- Partner with cost controls, scheduling, and risk teams to ensure alignment across project controls functions.
- Develop and enhance estimating standards, tools, databases, and best practices.
- Provide guidance and challenge to consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to drive estimate quality and consistency.
What You'll Bring

- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Experience

- Experience within Oil pipeline, infrastructure, energy, industrial, marine, terminal, or related project environments.
- Demonstrated success developing estimates from early-stage concepts through project sanction and execution.
- Strong understanding of procurement strategies, contracting approaches, construction sequencing, and project delivery models.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of estimate classification systems, cost forecasting methodologies, contingency development, and cost risk analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with estimating and project controls software.
- Experience with business intelligence and project management platforms is considered an asset.
- Ability to transform complex technical information into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Certifications
- Professional engineering designation.
- Cost engineering or estimating certifications.
Why Join Us?
This is more than an estimating role. It's an opportunity to help launch a major project, influence key investment decisions, and leave a lasting impact on a team building something new. If you're energized by creating structure where none exists, solving complex challenges, and contributing to a project from the ground up, we'd love to hear from you.
