Responsibilities
Interpret welding specifications and blueprints, operate welding and cutting equipment, and fabricate or repair metal parts and products. Inspect welds for compliance with standards, fit and braze metal, operate lifting equipment, and perform minor equipment repairs.
Requirements
A registered apprenticeship certificate is required, and relevant experience is an asset. Candidates need their own transportation and a valid driver's licence, steel-toed safety boots, and the ability to handle physically demanding work and loads up to 23 kg; screening may include criminal record, drug, and medical checks.
