Your next leadership opportunity
Reporting to the President/Managing Partner, you’ll oversee retail operations across our locations, balancing the big picture with the daily details that keep stores running well.
A key part of your role will be coaching and developing our store management team-building their confidence, strengthening accountability, and helping them become exceptional leaders.
From store profitability and inventory accuracy to merchandising and customer service, you’ll connect the pieces that create a consistently strong retail experience.
Where you’ll make your mark
- Build strong leaders and teams. Coach store managers, support recruitment and onboarding, and create meaningful training, development, and succession opportunities.
- Drive business performance. Manage store budgets, monitor sales and payroll, and turn financial insights into practical improvements.
- Raise the operational standard. Establish clear processes, improve efficiency, and ensure consistent execution across locations.
- Get inventory right. Oversee replenishment, transfers, inventory counts, and loss prevention so teams have the right products available when customers need them.
- Bring the stores to life. Guide merchandising, seasonal transitions, product launches, and promotional execution alongside our Purchasing and Marketing teams.
- Champion customer service. Set the example, support teams through challenging situations, and build lasting customer and vendor relationships.
- Keep the pro shop game-ready. Align FCA inventory, staffing, merchandising, and supplies with seasonal demand and tournament schedules.
What you bring
You’re a seasoned retail operator who can read the numbers, spot what needs attention, and bring people together to make it happen. You’re comfortable setting expectations, having constructive conversations, and following through.
Your background includes:
- At least five years of leadership experience in retail or a related industry, with proven success as a retail Store Manager and experience overseeing multiple locations.
- At least five years of responsibility for strategic and financial planning, people management, and administration at a leadership level.
- Strong skills in budgeting, sales analysis, labour planning, inventory control, and merchandising.
- A track record of building capable teams and a positive, accountable workplace culture.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business/Commerce or equivalent would be an asset.
- Confidence using POS systems, reporting tools, and business software.
- A valid Class 5 driver’s licence and flexibility to work across locations, including evenings and weekends when needed.
- A passion for hockey, baseball, ringette, and lacrosse will help you connect with our team and customers. Experience in sporting goods is an asset.
