The Role:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the critical aspects of projects including the coordination of shipping and receiving of purchased materials and components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Owning the Shipping & Receiving process
- Coordinate shipments with customers and carriers
- Receive customer-supplied products and verify against customer requirements
- Performing incoming inspection on purchased product
- Purchasing materials, supplies and transportation services
- Coordinating the inventory of stock material for cold bending, and assisting with the inventory of stock material for induction bending
- Assisting with the coordination of preventive maintenance records
- Working in accordance with documented policies and procedures
- Completing all applicable quality records
- Generating packing slips, calculate weights, determine dimensions
- Ensuring shipments are packaged according to customer requirements
- Maintaining daily shipping log
- Maintaining inventory of shop supplies
- Working in accordance with the quality management system
What You Bring:
- Purchasing, receiving, shipping, inspection and testing, traceability, nonconformances, corrective and preventive action, document control, record control, purchasing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and persuasively
- Ability to project and maintain a professional corporate image to clients, vendors and fellow employees
- Self-starter, with the ability to work efficiently in a team or matrix environment
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
- Detail-oriented, analytical, with good organizational, presentation and facilitation skills
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position
- Bending processes, materials knowledge, shop procedures
- Computer experience
- Prior experience with MS Word/Excel
