Follow project plans and budgets while ensuring Forepersons and crews perform to meet production goals.
Understand the scope and sequencing of work, support Forepersons to plan and prioritize work, effectively redirect crews and equipment to assigned tasks, and minimize downtime on sites.
Contribute to the development of a construction sequence plan.
Work with the General Superintendent to identify equipment and labour resource requirements.
Work with the General Superintendent and Project Manager to periodically reassess daily goals to meet forecasted production, schedules, and budgets.
Ensure work completed meets quality standards and that preparation and submittal of required reports, documentation, and logs are completed.
Document reporting of and maintain in good repair all company-owned and rented tools, equipment, and assets.
Manage Superintendents and hold them accountable for their responsibilities in administration and quality control.
Oversee the approval of daily production records and reporting on work progress, including:
Daily quality control inspections and checklists.
Records and reports of violations or disciplinary actions.
HSE inspections and reports.
Review Foreperson records and track all rental items, ensuring returns are completed and documented.
Project-specific forms, inspections, and tracking as required.
Approve field logs each day and ensure submittal of a field log for each Foreperson is completed daily.
Review field logs with the Project Manager to ensure accuracy of phase codes and reported items.

What You Bring to the Team:

Minimum 5 years of experience in the heavy civil construction industry, including roads, transit stations, utilities, and tunnels.

Able to oversee work fronts and interact with Forepersons and Field Engineers to supervise work on site.
Thorough knowledge of applicable OH&S legislation and MTO specifications.
