Location: Ohsweken, or Edmonton

Reporting to the Manager, Procurement, the Junior Procurement Specialist will support the procurement of materials, equipment, and services for project and operational requirements. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to coordinate purchasing activities, maintain accurate procurement records, track deliveries, and ensure procurement processes are completed efficiently and in accordance with company policies and procedures

What You'll Do Here:

Process purchase requisitions and create purchase orders while ensuring accuracy and completeness
Coordinate supplier onboarding and ensure required documentation is collected and maintained
Support the sourcing of materials, equipment, and services based on project and operational needs
Obtain and compare supplier quotations to support purchasing decisions
Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, order status, availability, and delivery timelines
Track material deliveries and expedite orders to support project schedules
Work closely with project teams and internal stakeholders to understand upcoming procurement requirements
Assist in resolving purchase order, delivery, invoice, and supplier-related issues
Maintain accurate procurement records and supporting documentation within ERP systems
Support supplier performance tracking, spend analysis, and procurement reporting
Assist with sourcing initiatives, cost-saving opportunities, and procurement process improvements
Ensure purchasing activities comply with established procurement policies and procedures
Develop positive working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

What You Bring to the Team:

1–2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, sourcing, or a related field.
Relevant co-op/internship experience may also be considered
Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business, Procurement, Engineering, or a related field
Basic understanding of purchasing and supply chain processes
Experience with purchase orders, supplier coordination, or material tracking is considered an asset
Exposure to ERP or procurement systems is considered an asset
Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
Willingness to learn and develop within the procurement and supply chain function
Experience or exposure to the construction, utilities, infrastructure, or industrial sectors is considered an asset
Progress toward a supply chain or procurement designation is considered an asset

Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
