Develop strong understanding of the applicable scope with knowledge of the work that is contracted and agreed upon between Aecon and the client.
Responsible for the overall planning and scheduling to ensure that the project is constructed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Implement and enforce Aecon’s corporate health and safety program.
Maintain excellent relationships with owner, joint venture partners, consultants, subcontractors, and the public.
Confer with and direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.
Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and adherence to construction schedules.
Prepare or review reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjust work schedules accordingly.
Lead interdisciplinary teams and ensure the project has capacity and expert capabilities in engineering, procurement, construction activities, finance, design management, project controls, contract management, quality, labor relations, and safety.
Maintain a positive project culture and oversee and mentor the work of junior team members.
Coordinate with project owners to comply with local agency and environmental issues and requirements.

What You Bring to the Team:

Solid knowledge of heavy civil scopes of work: deep excavation, roads, shoring, utilities, and structural concrete.
Experience managing projects in a self-performing environment.
Experience managing design-build projects.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies and practices gained through operational or on-site project management experience.
Well-developed leadership and people management skills.
High level of professionalism when dealing with all internal and external stakeholders.
