Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, diet, and preventive care strategies to maintain healthy smiles.
• Assist with patient examinations by recording medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts using Dentrix or similar practice management software.
• Support the dental team with procedures such as orthodontics, pediatrics, and other specialized treatments as needed.
• Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure all dental instruments and equipment are properly sanitized.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and ensuring a positive experience from check-in to check-out.

Qualifications

• Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state or regional requirements.
• Prior experience working in a dental office setting is preferred; familiarity with dental assisting is a plus.
• Proficiency with dental practice management software.
• Must be willing to bill CDCP or similar, regardless of by yourself or by others.
• Mandarin, Cantonese, or another Asian language skills are not required, but highly desirable to effectively communicate with our local demographic
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a friendly, professional environment for patients of all ages.
• Experience working with dental office teams and understanding of infection control procedures.
