Job Description
On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking a Change Management Specialist. The successful candidate will help the Incident Management Tool Replacement - Noggin project achieve business, schedule, and budget objectives by supporting changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles, and organizational structures. They will develop and implement change management plans that reduce resistance, strengthen employee engagement, and accelerate adoption, utilization, and proficiency. They will work closely with project teams, business units, communications, training, subject matter experts, and change sponsors to ensure successful project implementation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the change management work plan.
- Develop and support implementation of the change management strategy.
- Monitor business readiness and develop appropriate interventions.
- Coordinate efforts and provide feedback across projects and business units.
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of training, capacity-building, and knowledge-transfer activities for redesigned processes and systems.
- Identify, address, and resolve change management issues.
- Develop actionable, targeted plans for communications, sponsorship, coaching, training, and resistance management.
- Coach leaders who serve as change sponsors.
- Create and manage measurement systems that track adoption, utilization, and proficiency.
- Identify resistance and performance gaps, then develop and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and enable reinforcement mechanisms.
- Integrate change management activities into the overall project plan.
- Collaborate with communications, training, and subject matter experts to develop plans and activities that support project implementation.
Qualifications
- Marine Experience or Incident Management experience is a Must
- Experience in change management, release management, or business analysis within an IT environment.
- Experience supporting large-scale organizational change initiatives.
- Experience organizing and facilitating change or release management meetings is an asset.
- Experience with iterative delivery methodologies, including DevOps, SAFe, Agile, or similar approaches.
- Knowledge of change management principles and methodologies, such as Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter, or Lewin.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field.
- Ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing, and translate them into authoritative, actionable business guidance.
- Demonstrated accountability, including following through on commitments and taking responsibility for work, actions, and decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, evaluate alternatives, develop practical solutions, and take initiative to drive issues to resolution.
- Strong understanding of how people experience change and move through the change process.
- Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Ability to influence others and build alignment around a shared vision or goal.
