Job Description
Our client is undertaking a migration from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 and requires an experienced consultant to serve as the primary technical resource on the project. Working alongside the Project Manager and internal technology team, the consultant will define migration strategy, lead implementation activities, and help accelerate project delivery. The environment includes more than 200 users and approximately 30TB of data requiring migration.
Responsibilities
- Lead the migration from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365.
- Work closely with the Project Manager and internal technology team to define and execute the migration strategy.
- Develop and implement approaches for file migration, identity federation, and coexistence between Google and Microsoft environments.
- Support the migration of approximately 30TB of enterprise data.
- Support the migration of 200+ users to Microsoft 365.
- Serve as both the Solution Architect and Implementation Lead throughout the project lifecycle.
- Act as the primary technical resource on the project with support from internal technical teams.
- Provide leadership and guidance on migration methodologies, tools, risks, and best practices.
- Support planning, testing, validation, cutover, and post-migration activities.
- Identify and resolve migration challenges, dependencies, and technical issues.
Qualifications
- Proven experience delivering multiple Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 migration projects.
- Strong understanding of migration strategy, file migration approaches, identity federation, authentication, and coexistence between Google and Microsoft platforms.
- Experience migrating approximately 30TB or more of enterprise data.
- Experience supporting migrations involving 200+ users.
- Ability to function as both a Solution Architect and hands-on Implementation Lead.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Experience developing migration roadmaps, implementation plans, testing strategies, and cutover plans.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in complex enterprise environments with multiple business and technical stakeholders.
