On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking an experienced Project Manager who will focus on the successful delivery of high-impact outcomes within defined scope, schedule, budget, quality, and governance parameters while maintaining alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale initiatives, influencing executive stakeholders, and managing projects through the full project lifecycle in complex, highly regulated environments.
The Project Manager will serve as a trusted advisor and delivery leader, collaborating closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, technology teams, external consultants, and third-party vendors. The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced capabilities in project governance, enterprise risk management, stakeholder engagement, organizational change management, and project delivery best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direction and support to project teams;
- Liaise with customers and external vendors;
- Monitor and report on progress of the project to stakeholders;
- Implement and manage project changes, issues and risks;
- Working with our Organizational Change Management team, develop and implement OCM plans to support project change initiatives;
- Complete project evaluations and assessment of results;
- Complete test strategy and plan documentation including test scripts and issue tracking when required;
- Partners directly with business executives and department leaders
- Leads business transformation, operational change, or strategic initiatives
- Facilitates steering committees and executive governance forums
- Translates business objectives into project delivery plans
- Drives stakeholder alignment across multiple business units
- Has strong executive presence and communication skills
- Focuses on outcomes, adoption, and business value, not just technology delivery
- Other duties as assigned.
To Qualify For This Opportunity You Possess
- University degree in business or technology
- A PMP designation is preferred but not required
- Ten or more years of experience in Info. technology project management;
- Formal training and experience in a PMI-type project management methodology and project management software such MS Project or Jira;
- Previous experience in solution and product evaluation and leading proof of concept initiatives;
- Experienced in managing large scale, complex, multiple projects Financial services industry experience is preferred;
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills;
- Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills including to executive level audiences;
- Excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and on budget;
- Ability to work effectively with global teams;
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Top Skills Necessary
- Banking or Financial Institution experience - 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager at Financial Services or Financial institutions; Any financial services project experience will suffice including regulatory, compliance, any application implementation, enhancement or upgrade to internal policies, processes or systems.
- Project Management Experience - 7+ years of experience working with business and IT stakeholders to lead the planning and implementation of projects including definition of project charter, scope, schedules, budgets, deliverables and tasks.
- Implementation/vendor management experience – 3+ years of demonstrated experience managing 3rd party vendor relationships to implement new modules for existing applications
Salary range: $120 - $140K - in addition to competitive performance bonuses/incentives
