The role may focus on policy adoption and compliance, data controls, issue management, risk identification and reporting, or responses to regulatory and audit requests. The successful candidate will help turn enterprise standards into practical policies, processes, monitoring approaches, and measurable outcomes.

This position requires a dynamic and flexible professional who can work effectively in an environment where priorities and requirements may change. You will manage ambiguity and complexity, balance multiple responsibilities, and engage with stakeholders across business lines and global functions. Strong communication and diplomacy are essential to guide discussions, influence decisions, and build agreement across teams.

Qualifications

  • Six to ten years of relevant experience in data governance, data management, process engineering, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s or university degree required; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and practices.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, internal controls, risk monitoring, management reporting, and policies, procedures, or regulations.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines, respond to changing requirements, and anticipate the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to adapt messages for different audiences and communicate complex topics clearly.
  • Basic commercial awareness and the ability to use sound judgment when assessing business needs and governance requirements.
  • Comfort working with data, metrics, documentation, and reporting in a computer-based office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with teams across the organization to implement applicable Data Governance policies and Data Risk and Control Framework requirements.
  • Provide expertise on framework design, effectiveness, performance monitoring, and self-assessment processes.
  • Analyze data-related issues, monitor ownership and target dates, and maintain associated metrics and reporting.
  • Coordinate with business lines and global functions to support the enterprise governance strategy, including changes to the Data Risk Taxonomy, key risk indicators, and control framework.
  • Gather and synthesize information about existing governance principles, policies, practices, and standards, including relevant industry practices.
  • Develop recommendations for enterprise-wide guiding principles, policies, processes, and practices.
  • Identify requirements and help prioritize the development of new enterprise-wide governance standards and processes.
  • Create and manage approaches for measuring adoption, compliance, and effectiveness of established principles and practices.
  • Support regulatory and audit responses, action tracking, and issue management as required.

Benefits

This is a full-time position with a listed salary range of $111,600 to $161,600. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to enterprise-level data governance and risk initiatives while collaborating with colleagues across business areas and global functions. The working environment is primarily office-based, with minimal travel expected. Office attendance may be required during project work. The position involves minimal physical effort, although sustained concentration while working at a computer may be necessary.
