About The Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated Human Resources Business Partner to join our HR team. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, providing flexibility to work remotely and from our offices in Barrie and Waterloo, Ontario. The HR Business Partner will serve as a strategic partner and primary point of contact for all people-related matters within their designated client groups. Reporting directly to the Regional Human Resources Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with leaders at various levels to develop and implement effective people management strategies that align with organizational goals. The role involves providing expert guidance on employment legislation, fostering positive employee relations, and supporting organizational development initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong HR generalist experience, sound judgment, and excellent interpersonal skills to navigate complex situations and promote a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

University or College degree/diploma in Human Resources Management or a related field is required.
CHRP/CHRL designation is preferred.
Between 3-5 years of comprehensive experience across multiple HR disciplines.
Experience in large, multi-site unionized environments is an asset.
Prior experience in the healthcare or homecare sector is advantageous.
High level of personal integrity and a strong commitment to ethical practices.
Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach and a sense of urgency.
Strong leadership, influencing, relationship-building, and team collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively under pressure; project management skills are a plus.
Self-motivated, independent worker with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills, tactfulness, and professionalism at all organizational levels.
Willingness to learn, adapt, and incorporate new ideas and processes.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email communication tools.
Clear background check clearance.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive HR support and coaching to designated client groups, covering areas such as employee and labour relations, recruitment, performance management, recognition, engagement, remuneration, learning and development, and succession planning.
Act as a strategic advisor to organizational leaders, ensuring that structures, processes, and competencies are aligned to support both short-term and long-term business objectives.
Serve as a trusted resource for employees, managing and communicating employee relations issues fairly and effectively, in compliance with applicable laws and collective agreements.
Assist in interpreting, administering, and negotiating collective bargaining agreements, leading grievance resolutions, mediations, and investigations as required.
Analyze HR data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities, providing insights to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
Support the Senior Director of HR with various people-related projects aimed at organizational improvement and development.
Uphold and promote CarePartners’ core values of patient-focus, integrity, accountability, partnership, teamwork, transparency, respect, and innovation in all interactions.
