Original job description

About The Company

Sanimax is a leading organization committed to sustainability and innovation within the waste management and environmental services industry. With a focus on transforming waste into valuable resources, Sanimax provides comprehensive solutions that promote environmental responsibility and operational efficiency. The company prides itself on fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture, emphasizing continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional value to its clients and stakeholders. Sanimax’s dedication to making a positive impact extends beyond business operations, actively contributing to community development and environmental preservation.

About The Role

Reporting directly to the Manager of Business Analysis, this role is pivotal in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions within Sanimax. As a Business Analyst, you will serve as a strategic partner to the Finance teams, supporting decision-making processes and optimizing financial workflows. Your expertise will facilitate the development and implementation of technology solutions that enhance financial visibility, ensure compliance, and improve overall organizational performance. You will act as a key liaison between business users, IT teams, and external vendors, ensuring that project objectives are met efficiently and effectively. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence business transformation initiatives, drive process improvements, and contribute to Sanimax’s mission of sustainability and innovation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A minimum of five years of experience supporting finance, ERP, and business transformation projects is required. Proven ability to lead requirements gathering, stakeholder alignment, and solution design in dynamic environments is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong influence and communication skills, with experience working in vendor-led implementation settings and collaborating with external solution providers. Experience supporting financial systems, including core processes such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Financial Reporting, is highly valued. Familiarity with ERP systems (Infor M3 experience is a strong asset), SQL, Anaplan, or similar tools is preferred. Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in French is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, Logistics, and Transportation teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimize end-to-end financial workflows.
Lead requirements discovery sessions and facilitate workshops with stakeholders to understand, analyze, challenge, and prioritize business needs, while driving consensus and decision-making in environments with evolving processes and governance structures.
Analyze and document business processes, workflows, data flows, system integrations, and ERP capabilities to recommend solutions that enhance efficiency and ensure data integrity.
Develop comprehensive business requirements, process documentation, user stories, and other artifacts to support project delivery and validate solutions.
Lead initiatives from initiation through implementation, demonstrating leadership in problem-solving, resource engagement, stakeholder coordination, and risk management to ensure successful project outcomes.
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), support users during testing phases, and ensure delivered solutions meet specified business needs and quality standards.

Benefits

Competitive salary package complemented by an annual performance bonus.
Comprehensive group insurance plan including dental, medical, life, and disability coverage.
Flexible hybrid work model supporting work-life balance with adaptable scheduling options.
Access to telemedicine services and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for personal and professional support.
Pension plan with employer contributions to secure your financial future.
Reimbursement for gym memberships and physical activities to promote wellness.
Opportunities for professional development, training, and career growth within the organization.

Equal Opportunity

Sanimax is committed to fostering an inclusive environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are dedicated to creating a workplace where all employees feel valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives. We encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds and experiences, and we do not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
