About The Role
The Lead AI Developer within the Commercial and 1859 team at National Bank is a pivotal role designed for a seasoned technology professional passionate about artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and back-end development. In this capacity, you will spearhead the development of advanced technological solutions that directly influence the Bank’s digital transformation journey. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing our Intelligent Client Management and Enablement platform by automating complex business processes, improving system performance, and ensuring the security of our solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where innovation and collaboration are at the forefront. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence technical strategies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our technology landscape, ultimately helping to shape the future of banking services at National Bank.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, complemented by 7 to 10 years of relevant experience. A strong background in back-end development using modern programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# is essential. Proven expertise in cloud platforms like AWS or Salesforce, along with a solid understanding of cloud services and architecture, is required. Experience with DevOps practices, automation tools, infrastructure management, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is highly valued. Proficiency with version control systems such as GitHub and familiarity with team collaboration tools are necessary for effective teamwork. Additionally, a keen interest in artificial intelligence and automation solutions - such as Microsoft Power Automate, GitHub Copilot, Anthropic, or OpenAI - is preferred, as it aligns with our strategic objectives of leveraging AI to optimize business processes.
Responsibilities
As Lead AI Developer, your responsibilities will include designing and developing robust, scalable application services and interfaces within cloud-based environments. You will enhance existing platforms, such as our document processing system, to meet strategic organizational objectives. Integrating AI solutions to automate and streamline business workflows will be a core aspect of your role. Ensuring the quality, performance, and security of production solutions is vital, and you will be expected to implement best practices in these areas. You will contribute to modern DevOps practices by automating infrastructure management and deployment processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Influencing the technical direction of projects and promoting development best practices within your team will be key to maintaining high standards of excellence.
