About The Role
The Project Manager - R&D at Olymel plays a pivotal role in driving the development of innovative food products aligned with market trends and consumer preferences. Working closely with the Chief of Development Projects - Poultry, this position involves managing multiple projects from conception through to commercialization, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The role requires a scientific and meticulous approach, integrating research and development efforts with operational capabilities. The Project Manager will serve as a key liaison between internal teams such as technical services, purchasing, and operations, as well as external partners, to facilitate seamless project execution. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in food science, food engineering, or a related field, complemented by significant experience in food product development. Responsibilities
- Manage diverse food product development projects from initial concept to final product launch, ensuring alignment with company standards and market requirements.
- Follow rigorous project management methodologies to monitor progress, timelines, and budgets, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with internal departments such as technical services, purchasing, operations, and external clients to clarify needs, expectations, and project objectives.
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop standard operating procedures and product specifications, defining monitoring frequencies in partnership with quality assurance and factory teams.
- Coordinate the creation of product samples in laboratory kitchens and manufacturing facilities, ensuring consistency and quality standards are met.
- Provide ongoing support and follow-up at the local factory level, assisting other R&D project managers as needed to ensure project success.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout all project phases.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product development processes and operational efficiency.
