About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to join Soucy’s dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee multiple large-scale projects, focusing on the development, industrialization, and launch of new thermoforming products. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with product development, manufacturing, and quality assurance departments to optimize processes, improve safety measures, and enhance overall productivity. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related technical field. A minimum of three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment is required, with proven expertise in project management and process optimization. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly plastics processing methods, will be considered an asset. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively across teams, and a keen interest in learning new manufacturing techniques. Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects related to the launch of new thermoforming products, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer requirements.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders involved in the industrialization phases, facilitating effective communication and collaboration across departments.
- Guide the product development team to align design processes with manufacturing capabilities and occupational health and safety (OHS) best practices.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, utilizing performance metrics to track progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Participate actively in optimizing manufacturing processes by identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity, safety, and product quality, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies throughout all project phases.
- Document project activities, prepare reports, and present updates to senior management to facilitate informed decision-making.
